Remote Learning - Information for Parents and Carers

Google Classroom is a safe and secure solution for children to access learning materials directly from their class teachers; a location in which they can collaborate with their peers by sharing useful websites and tips to completing assignments; a hub to allow blended learning direct from their school classrooms into the comfort of their own homes.

Click on the image below and you will be taken directly to the Google Classroom webpage. On the right, you will see an option to log in.

You will find some useful video tutorials in the Google Classroom section of our Video Resource Centre.

You can also access Google Classroom using an XBox or PS4.  Please use the documents below to help you with this.

How to use an X Box for Google Classroom

In addition to Google Classroom, our pupils also have access to the following learning platforms:

For parents/carers of pupils in Reception and KS1, who are learning phonics through Read Write Inc, please click on the links below to go to the Ruth Miskin Facebook and Twitter pages.  Here, you will find lots of great video clips to help you support your children with reading and to find out about how we teach the programme.

Click on the picture below and have a look at some practical steps for pupils, parents and carers to follow in order to achieve a healthy and balanced digital diet.

You'll also find lots of useful links about e-Safety here.

We actively support Laptops for Kids which is a charitable organisation that facilitated the donation, secure erasure and distribution of used digital devices, enabling children to have access to the technology they need to participate in remote learning.
