Extra Day's Holiday

This is to let you know that there is an additional day’s holiday during this current academic year. To celebrate the Queen’s platinum jubilee, there is an additional bank holiday in June 2022. As this falls in the Spring Bank holiday, which means that most schools are already on holiday, regulations for schools have been changed for one year only to reflect this.

This means that the school year reduces from 190 days to 189.

For our school and the other two in our Crucible Cooperative Trust, Monday 6th June 2022, will now be a holiday, meaning that children will not need to return to school until Tuesday 7th June. In practical terms, this means that you have a little greater flexibility if you are booking a holiday over that period.

The amended dates for your diary sheet has been updated to reflect this alteration.
