  • Early Bird 'Wording' Mornings

    Fri 24 Jan 2020

Early Bird ‘Wording’ mornings focus on word games and activities. The sessions are for Foundation to Y4. All parents/carers are welcome to join their child in their classroom, from 8.35am to 8.50am. The sessions finish at 8.50am, to enable children to be ready for their morning lessons and groups; this is particularly important for children who are in Y1, as they need to move to other areas in school for their Read Write Inc lessons. You are able to enter your child’s classroom through the way your child normally enters school.

The days for each year group are:

    Monday        Y2

    Tuesday        Y4

    Wednesday   Foundation

    Thursday      Y3

  • Message from Home School Association

    Fri 10 Jan 2020

Happy New Year! We hope you all had a relaxing festive season, and the children enjoyed their Christmas present. We really enjoyed coming into school to distribute these gifts from the HSA.

Our next meeting will be held on Monday 13th January at the Sword Dancer pub at 7pm. We expect this meeting to take no longer than one hour.  We will be at a table with a sign saying ’Home School Association’. Please come along and find out more about who we are, and what we do. We hope that moving the first meeting of the year to a venue and time more suitable for those with work commitments, will encourage more parents and carers to attend.

We can't emphasise enough how much we need new members. Without more members, we may reluctantly have to reduce the events that we run throughout the year, or even worse, cease with the HSA altogether.  This really would be such a shame and not something we want to happen.

If you can’t make the meeting but would like to know more or become a member, please drop your details on an e-mail to us; athelstanparents@gmail.com and we will get back to you.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the 13th January at the Sword Dancer.
