• Changes to the Breakfast Club Booking System

  For the first time, all parents/carers now have access to the booking section in sQuid, therefore if you would like your child to attend breakfast club and they haven’t been before, you do not need to contact the office to request access first.

  Booking slots for after the Christmas holidays are now available to book via the bookings tab on your sQuid account. Breakfast Club is strictly by pre-booking only.

  Please note, sessions cannot be booked after 8am on the day before the day you wish to book. For example, if you wish to book your child a place for Tuesday 3rd January, you would need to book the place no later than 8am on Monday 2nd January.

  How to Check Bookings

  Please remember that children who arrive at breakfast club and have not been pre-booked via sQuid, will be turned away. Here’s how to double check the bookings you have made:

• Christmas Parties

  Christmas parties are taking place next week.

   

  Foundation	Wednesday 14th December
  Y1	Monday 12th December
  Y2	Tuesday 13th December
  Y3	Monday 12th December
  Y4	Thursday 15th December
  Y5	Tuesday 13th December
  Y6	Thursday 15th December

   

  Children may bring party clothes to wear, but please ensure they come to school in their school uniform. The children in Foundation only, may come into school in the morning, in their party clothes.

  We will be playing party games, having a dance and enjoying some party food.  In previous years we have had an abundance of left-over food; we are therefore asking for a small donation of party food from each child.  Children still have lunch on party days, so the party food is just a small treat to share with their friends. To ensure we don’t get lots of one thing, we ask your child to bring the items indicated on your letter, sent home this week. As any excess food at the end of party week will be donated to the Handsworth Food Bank, we are not requesting any perishable food again this year.

  Please send the food/drink into school on the day of your child’s party.

  RED:             Roast chicken, sausage bite, roast potatoes, stuffing ball, peas, carrots and gravy

  GREEN:         Quorn roast, vegetarian sausage, roast potatoes, stuffing ball, peas, carrots and gravy

  PURPLE:        Halal roast chicken, vegetarian sausage, roast potatoes, stuffing ball, peas, carrots and gravy

  DESSERT:      Christmas Krispy pudding

  *Please note there will be no grab bag or jacket potato option on this day.*

   

  Christmas Party Themed Menu - Thursday 15th December

  RED:             Ham sandwich, sausage roll and margherita pizza slice

  YELLOW:       Cheese sandwich, cheese roll and margherita pizza slice

  BLUE:           Tuna mayo sandwich, cheese roll and margherita pizza slice

  DESSERT:      Christmas shortbread

  *Please note there will be no jacket potato option on this day.*

• Christmas Jumper Day

  We are having a non-uniform Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 9th December for Save the Children.

  We are asking for a 50p donation, which can be made in cash. Please send money to school in a named envelope.

  Please note the official date is the day before however, due to a class visit, we are taking part on Friday instead.

  Children in Y1 to Y6 will also be taking part in the annual Santa Dash event; in addition to their Christmas Jumper, they can complete their mile run wearing festive or wintery hats!

• HSA Secret Santa

  We will be in school on Thursday 8th, Friday 9th and Monday 12th December for this year’s Secret Santa sales.

  Presents are £2.00 each and there is no limit to the number of gifts each child can purchase.

  Children will be able to buy gifts at lunchtime, in the junior hall. Please send your child with the correct money in a named envelope.

  We look forward to helping the children choose a present for those special people in their lives. All presents will be wrapped and sent home with the children.

  Children in Foundation and Y1 will be able to purchase gifts on all of the above dates in the Launchpad area.

  In addition to our usual Secret Santa gift sale, we also have a selection of handmade jewellery and gifts for sale in the office.

• HSA - Christmas Raffle

  Raffle tickets will be on sale before and after school in the infant and junior yards, between Monday 5th and Friday 9th December. Tickets are also available from the office and are priced at £1 per strip.
