  • Message from Deb Halliday

    Fri 09 Jul 2021

This week, after various government announcements and the predicted removal of school bubbles, the future looks much brighter in terms of being able to plan for September. Obviously, depending on the prevailing data at the end of August, things could well change very quickly but, at the moment, we are hoping to be back to a more normal routing once the children return on September 2nd.

We are expecting to still have good hygiene rules in place but have our fingers crossed that all the other Covid restrictions will have been lifted!

We will aim to send you a newsletter on Tuesday 20th July after the ‘freedom day’ of the previous day with a note about how we expect the routines will operate. This will include a reminder of school times, entry gates and doors and other procedural information.

Please remember that we are currently still bound by the restrictions and infections are increasing dramatically over the city. Let’s do all we can to reduce the spread.

  • Fiesta Friday

    Fri 02 Jul 2021

We are excited to announce that Fiesta Friday will be taking place on Friday 9th July. Fiesta Friday is all about the celebration of Spanish culture and language. Throughout the day, children will have the opportunity to take part in Flamenco dancing, Spanish language lessons and they will even be learning about a famous Spanish artist and making artwork. It is a non-uniform day and we would like to encourage all children to wear something 'Spanish' for the day. This could simply be the colours red and yellow to represent the Spanish flag. Please note that football kits are not allowed.

If your child has a PE lesson on this day, they do not need to wear their PE kit. Please note, we will be unable to take clothes to the classrooms if your child comes to school in their uniform.
