  • Pre-Loved School Uniform

    Fri 20 Sep 2019

One of our Y1 parents, Joanne Curren, very kindly runs a second-hand uniform ‘shop’, to raise funds for school, and to promote recycling and reusing resources.

If you would like to donate items, please bring then to the main office.

Joanne washes and stores the uniform in sizes, you can contact her on jojocuz@icloud.com and request whatever uniform item you need.  Requests can also be made to Mrs Ahmed via the office.  If the item is in stock, you then collect it from school and make payment to the admin team.

    Polo shirts 50p

    Sweatshirts/cardigans £1

    Trousers/skirts £1

    Dresses 50p

    P.E. items 50p

We think it’s a great idea; please support the ‘shop’ by both donating and buying pre-loved uniform.

  • Breakfast Club

    Mon 16 Sep 2019

Just a reminder that the daily cost of our Breakfast Cub has increased to £2.00, per child, per day. This is to help support the increasing costs of running our Breakfast Club, and to bring the cost of our Breakfast Club in line with other schools in the city. Any profits made from this price increase will be used to further improve provision across the whole of school.

Children in all year groups are welcome to attend and you do not need to pre-book. Payments need to be made via sQuid, approximately every four weeks.

From Tuesday 1st October, if you have outstanding ‘offer(s)’ on Breakfast Club, your child will not be able to attend until the debt is cleared in full. The school budget pays for the expense of staffing and food, and these costs must be covered in order for breakfast club to be able to run.

If you are in receipt of income-related Free School Meals or you volunteer at our Drop-Off, your child may attend Breakfast Club free of charge.  If you think you may be entitled to income-related Free School Meals, please speak to a member of the office team

  • Drop off Zone

    Mon 16 Sep 2019

We know from the great feedback we are given how much our parents/carers appreciate the drop off zone; not only does it reduce congestion around school and make it safer, it also helps busy working parents/carers.

As you know, we are very lucky to have some parent volunteers, who help to make it possible, however the cost of paying staff to cover the drop off zone does have an impact on our school’s budget, at a time when schools are facing financial pressures.

We are therefore asking parents/carers to make voluntary contributions towards the cost of running the drop off zone, in the hope that this will relieve some of the financial pressure on school.

Our governors have suggested an amount of £1 per day, however parents/carers can contribute the amount of their choice, as and when they choose.

Voluntary contributions can be made via sQuid:

    • Go to the ‘Trips and Offers’ purse
    • View ‘Available Offers
    • Click ‘Drop off Zone’
    • You can then specify the amount and checkout

If you require any assistance, please speak to a member of the team in the office.

Many thanks in anticipation of your support.

  • Operation Encompass

    Mon 16 Sep 2019

Our school has been given the opportunity to take part in a project that will run jointly between school and South Yorkshire Police.

Operation Encompass is the notification to schools that a child (under 18) has been exposed to, or involved in, any domestic incident.  This will ordinarily be done by the start of the next school day.

Operation Encompass will ensure that either of us are informed.  We can then use the information, in confidence, to ensure the wellbeing of the child and support the family as much as possible.

Our school is keen to offer the best support possible to all of our children and we believe this will be extremely beneficial for all those involved.

If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

This is an Operation Encompass School.

Children who are affected by domestic abuse don't have to suffer in silence.

Operation Encompass enables Key Adults in school, Police and teams within Sheffield City Council, to work together to help children feel safe, secure and receive appropriate support.
