  Please can we remind you of our uniform and jewellery policy by following the link below. Please read this carefully, especially before purchasing any items of clothing or footwear over the summer holiday, as from September this will be more rigorously enforced.

• Fiesta Friday

  We are excited to announce that Fiesta Friday will be taking place on Friday 15th July. Fiesta Friday is all about the celebration of Spanish culture and language. Throughout the day, children will have the opportunity to try traditional Spanish foods, take part in Spanish language lessons, and they will be learning about a famous Spanish artist and making artwork. We would like to encourage all children to wear something 'Spanish' for the full day. This could simply be the colours red and yellow to represent the Spanish flag. Please note that football kits are not allowed. If your child has any allergies or intolerances we should be aware of, please let your child’s class teacher know.

• Summer Reading Challenge: Gadgeteers!

  This summer, get reading all things science-themed in our Gadgeteers summer reading challenge.

  There are two ways to take part, both totally free. Firstly, Sheffield libraries will launch the challenge this Saturday, 9th July. Parents/carers can visit the Gadgeteers website below to find out more and to create a profile for their child. This will enable them to track their reads, collect stickers and complete activities. If your child completes and logs six reads over the summer, they earn a medal and certificate!

  Secondly, Athelstan will also be supporting the Gadgeteers challenge, and we want to see you reading and getting scientific! Please snap photos of your children reading science-themed books and completing science activities, including cooking, gardening, coding, building and more.
