  • Drop-in Sessions - A Message from Fiona Barry

    Fri 30 Sep 2022

I would like to offer parents and carers the opportunity to attend an informal 'Drop-in' to discuss any concerns that they may have about their child. These may include academic concerns or be from an emotional wellbeing point of view.

I will be available between 9 am and 10 am on Thursday 6th October and 1.30 pm - 2.30 pm on Thursday 13th October. You do not need to book an appointment; please enter the school via the main reception area.

  • Art Competition

    Fri 23 Sep 2022

As a way of honouring our late Queen, we would like to invite all children to take part in the Queen's portrait competition.

There are many artists who have created a portrait of the Queen so you may want to look at the following for some inspiration:

    - Christian Furr

    - Nicky Phillips

    - Cecil Beaton

    - Andy Warhol

    - Justin Mortimer

Children may choose any materials they wish to create the piece; they may want to create a small or very large entry. Please ensure that all entries have your child’s name and class so we know if they are the lucky winner. The deadline for the competition is Friday 4th November so they also have the half term to focus on their entry. Please hand all entries into your child’s class teacher.  Good luck!

  • Need to Knows (N2Ks)

    Fri 16 Sep 2022

All children in Y1-Y6 will have been sent home with a blue folder that contains all of our N2Ks for this half term. We use these to showcase all the learning your child will receive each half term.

Last year, we received feedback from parents and carers that electronic copies made it challenging to support learning at home. As a result, every term, we will provide hard copies of the new N2Ks to show you their upcoming learning.

We hope that having these stored in a central place will support and encourage their use.

It would be fantastic if you could find time with your child(ren) to read the N2Ks together, ask them some questions about them and find out about their current learning.

  • Monday 19th September - Bank Holiday

    Mon 12 Sep 2022

As you may already be aware, Monday 19th September, the date of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s State Funeral, will be a national bank holiday. The school will be closed to pupils and staff on this day.

  • Parents/Carers’ Drop-in – Y1 to Y6

    Fri 09 Sep 2022

On Wednesday 21st September, between 3.30pm and 4.30pm, we will be holding an informal drop-in for parents/carers of children in Y1 to Y6, to discuss how well the children have settled into their new class.

Teachers will be in their classrooms and parents/carers of children in Y1 to Y6 will be able to enter school through the door that they use in a morning.

As our new children in Foundation have very recently had a home visit and parents/carers see their child’s class teacher in the mornings and afternoons, the drop-in is for Y1 to Y6 only.
